Background
Archer Title is owned by a local bank. This isn’t an uncommon ownership model in the title industry. What can make this difficult is the highly regulated environment that banks operate in. They must adhere to strict IT requirements so that their deposits and data are not compromised. When title agencies are bank-owned, they too tend to be impacted by this stringent IT environment. Implementing outside software and a hosting solution is a nuanced client/vendor conversation.
Timeline
Archer Title has been a long-time client. Under current ownership and leadership, they approached us about updating their software to our latest platform, as well as desiring an out-of-house hosting solution. This off-site location of data would free them up to make more streamlined improvements to their various title production software.
Takeaways
Though the plants were moved to our servers, it still required a firm trust and working understanding of how the bank’s network infrastructure would interact with IIX. Various teams from IIX all spoke into the process to help deliver clarity and certainty to the process. IT Support, Software Development, Plant Operations, and Sales were all closely connected at every step with the client.
